SUMMARY:Geospatial Information for Digital Transformation
DESCRIPTION:During past 20 years\, the Norwegian Mapping Authority has been implementing capacity development projects in Eastern Europe\, West Balkans\, Central Asia\, and other regions. This capacity development has focused on the establishment of national spatial data infrastructures\, delivery of core geospatial datasets\, building-up technical and professional capacity\, contributing to economic growth and supporting the Sustainable Development Goals. \nEvery year since 2016\, regional conferences took place in one of the beneficiary countries. Due to the pandemic\, the event in Kyrgyzstan in 2020 was cancelled. \nThis year\, the regional conference will be held over three days in a hybrid form\, and it will be focused on the importance of geospatial information in the digital transformation. \n\n\n\nOn 27 October\, Léa Bodossian\, Secretary General and Executive Director\, EuroGeographics is delighted to be speaking on: Enabling Digital Government through Geospatial Data and Location Intelligence: What needs to be done with information management in accession countries?
